Reditus B2B Buyer Model | Appendix

Boundary Conditions and Exceptions

Where the Reditus B2B Buyer Model applies, and where its predictions become less reliable.

The Reditus B2B Buyer Model assumes stable systems where actors behave coherently and participate in good faith. These assumptions are not moral claims; they are structural requirements.

They are necessary for consequence to be predictive and for tolerance to map meaningfully to viability. When these conditions do not hold, system behavior becomes harder to interpret and less reliable over time.

Unstable Systems

An unstable system is one in which power is decoupled from consequence. Decisions are made without real ownership, outcomes are not lived by those who authorize them, and errors are not consistently examined or corrected.

Common indicators include decisions made without execution accountability, frequent reorganizations that reset responsibility, external subsidies that mask failure, and success measured through activity or optics rather than outcomes.

In such systems, tolerance curves may not reflect actual viability. Decisions can occur that later collapse, and apparent momentum may be illusory.

Displaced Consequence and Non-Good-Faith Actors

Some systems contain individuals who are insulated from downside or who actively displace consequence to others. Indicators include repeated deflection of accountability, aggressive commitments without ownership, and language that prioritizes optics over outcomes.

These conditions can temporarily violate tolerance logic. Utility may appear high because consequence has been externalized. Over time, however, systems tend to reassert constraint.

Why These Cases Do Not Break the Model

The model describes how systems behave over time.

Unstable systems and displaced consequence can produce temporary deviations, but they do not produce durable outcomes. Long-term viability still depends on aligned consequence, shared tolerance, and owned results.

Where these conditions are absent, outcomes may occur, but they are less predictable and more likely to unravel.
